for some reason,i want to talk about the oppression of women and how far we have come.
for eons, women have been oppresed, stepped upon.in fact, the oppresion women face has been draconian in nature.women are frangible, yes, but we are perfectly capable and able-bodied.
for example, when the english aristocracy reigned supreme between 1660-1914,women were seen as mere playthings of men.i mean, how could one's highest ambition in life was to be married to viscount,or other men of high rank?such was the thinking of women in those times.regardless, their reputations were spotless.never were they caught in an improprietery situation.if they were, whispers of scandals were swiftly silenced.they conducted themselves with the upmost aplomb, but how meaningful were their lives?they thrived on gossip, pretty dresses and breeding.very crude, but it's the truth.men viewed educated women,'bluestockings', as undesirable.the education was left to the men.at least we know where bimbos originated from.
however, there were women who were remarkably vicious, even barbaric.way back,in the bc,there was a tribe of women.they were rigidly controlled by their queen.they went to war, hated men and were basically like men in character.seasonally, they would find men to reproduce with.the children that they bore,if they were male, would be killed.if the child was a girl, she would be trained as a warrior.
a far cry,is it not?we females have come a long way.
now we are independent, free to make our own choices and control our own lives.
education is a must.how lucky we are,to be born in this generation.
but that as it is...
it would be nice to have the men come a-courting,right girls?*winks*
